“Have you thought about calling them?” Emrys was beginning to get uncomfortable, too. Of course, the things that Bella was saying - she might not be his by blood, but Bella was his daughter, the same as Xiu was Shahin’ - and the things the were seeing on TV, it was enough to make a rock worry.
“I called them twice. I keep getting routed to voicemail. Either they don’t want to talk to me right now...”
“Or they can’t.”
